Allison Francis Page Wilder, JR Cashiers, NC. Allison Francis Page Wilder, Jr of Cashiers passed away on May 5, 2025. He was born in Charleston, SC on December 27, 1937 to Allison Francis Page Wilder and Effie Leland Wilder.
He was raised in Summerville, SC. Allison graduated from Summerville High School and the College of Charleston. Upon graduation he taught at Summerville High School before joining his father and brother at Wilder Trucking. After moving to Cashiers, NC in the late 70's to run a lakeside motel, he formed and successfully ran Mountain Realty of Cashiers for over 30 years. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega, The Society of Colonial Wars in the State of South Carolina, and Order of the Founders and Patriots of America. After retirement he and Grace enjoyed traveling, gardening and dinner and drinks on their mountain porch.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his wife Grace Wilder. He is survived by his two children, Page Wilder of Cashiers, Frank Wilder of Cashiers; grandchildren, Henry Wilder and Frances Wilder of Asheville, and their Mother, Caroline Wilder. He is also survived by siblings Frances Townsend (Evans), John Wilder (Ginga), Leland Wilder (Sandy); Inlaws Margaret Owens and Carol Adams, dear cousin Marjorie Blackwell, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the great friends and caring staff at Chestnut Hill of Highlands.
Graveside services will be held at the family church Old Bethesda Church of Aberdeen, NC at 1pm on May 17, 2025. A memorial will be held at a later date.
