Timothy “Mr. Terrific” Fitzgerald Lawter, 53, of Hendersonville passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. Born June 14, 1965 in Tryon, NC, he was a son of the late Francis and Wilma Biggerstaff Lawter. He was a graduate of Hawaii High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army. “Mr. Terrific” as he was known to many of his friends, was a professional wrestler since the young age of 16. He wrestled on circuits such as the WWF and the WWA wrestling the likes of Andre the Giant and Ivan Koloff. Helping children was something that Mr. Lawter lived for as he held many fundraiser wrestling matches and promotions where the proceeds went to benefit children. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Steve Lawter. Surviving is his sister, Arlene Ballard and her spouse, Sam, of Hendersonville.
