Roy Rogers Obituary

Roy Kenneth Rogers, 78, of Candler passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville. Born August 5, 1941 in Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Frederick and Etta Rogers. He was a graduate of Enka High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by E.F. Craven Co. for years and attended Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Duane Rogers. Surviving is his devoted spouse of 53 years, Betty Rogers; daughter, Shelly Hawkins and her spouse, Randy, of Asheville; and their children, Kara, Emily, and Peyton. No services are planned at this time.
