Phillip Eugene “Blues Man” Stephenson, 71, of Fountain Inn, SC passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville. Born on August 13, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Jesse Stephenson and Marilyn Campbell. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the VFW. For most of his professional career he was employed as a welder. One of his favorite passions in life was music. Surviving are his brother, William Stephenson of Riverside, CA; niece, Erin Pace of Riverside, CA; nephew, Corwin Stephenson of Moreno Valley, CA; and grand nephew, Warrick Pace of Riverside, CA. Philip had many friends and a small group he considered family. There will be a celebration and remembrance of life on Saturday, April 21 from 3 PM until midnight. Address is 1128 Chapman Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29645. Burial will be private at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery in Anderson, SC.
