You have our deepest sympathy and condolences in the loss of your loved one. Jehovah God made a promise to us all at Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death.

I met Lula soon after moving to Asheville 11 years ago. Everyone knew Lula. Her journeys of trying to start a functional women's living community. So much heart she gave to our local community. I will always remember Lula's family pride when reciting "Twas the Night before Christmas" at Xmas parties. A well lived and loved life. No regrets. Lula lived life with gusto, right to the end! and died with grace. Except her time on earth being cut so short, that's as good as it gets. Unless you prefer to be in moonbeams...

Lula, rest in peace. I recall with fondness your hosting book club a number of times and hearing stories of your life. I will miss you.

Noccalula I was with you when you gave yourself your indian name as I gave myself my Indian name Fishing Bear Moon. We spent a very special time of our life together. Time I will never forget....many lessons learned by both of us. May all your pain and suffering be over and may you be dancing with the moon and stars....gazing down upon the earth with that special smile..

Here's hoping that the many friends and family of Lula will turn out for her memorial service. I wish for you a beautiful day with laughter and stories and yes, tears. I always feel , personally, like tears allow some of the grief to pass through me. Wish I would of had the chance to meet her. I felt a part of things here at the end with all the emails and phone messages and decisions that had to be made in a hurry. So, carry on, Lula, where ever the journey takes you next.

My deepest sympathies to Lula's family and friends. I am so in awe of someone living their life the way Lula did and how she chose to die.
See her in the places she loved, the water, the forest and the hearts of all the people who loved her.
