Markcus Gene Phillips, 26, of Burnsville, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
Markcus was born in Winston Salem, NC. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Glen McIntosh, Fred Robinson; and grandmother, Dorothy McIntosh. Markcus loved fishing, shooting pool, and watching TV.
Surviving Markcus are his mother, Barbara Robinson Currie, step-father, Steven Currie, father, Gene Phillips all of Burnsville, NC; sisters, Joni Laws (Brian), Angie Boings (Shane Hedrick) all of Burnsville, NC; brother, Andy Boings of Burnsville, NC; nieces, Sydney Boings, Nova Lynn Laws, Jacqueline Moss, all of Burnsville, NC; nephews, Tyler Hedrick, Anthony Boings, both of Burnsville, NC; aunts, Elizabeth McHone (Ken), Diane Cutshaw, Becky Gentry, Donna Robinson, all of Burnsville, NC, Lillian Tipton (Donald) of Arden, NC; and uncle, Fred Robinson of Marion, NC.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
