Lloyd Thomas Boone, Jr.

Lloyd Thomas “Tommy” Boone Jr., 49, of Arden passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. Born on April 21, 1969 in Magnolia, NC and raised in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Lloyd Thomas Boone and Exloner Greene Boone. He was employed by Empire Distributing for the past 13 years. Nothing was more important to him than being a father to his children and supporting his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Christina Boone. Surviving is his longtime girlfriend, Ebony T. Thompson; children: Jason Mathis of Dunklin County, NC, Lloyd “Lil” Thomas Boone III, Tre Thomas Boone, Isaiah Tyree Thompson, and Elijah Kyrie Boone all of Arden; sisters, Cynthia Jacobs of Washington D.C. and Martina Boone of Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Hopkins Chapel AME Zion Church, 21 College Place, Asheville, NC 28801 with the family receiving friends on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 5-7 PM in the chapel of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services.
