Kay (Guthrie) Adams

Kay Guthrie Adams, 77, of Asheville passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital Systems in Asheville. Born on January 17, 1940 in Asheville, she was a daughter of the late Doyle and Beatrice Metcalf Guthrie. She retired from I.T.T. Tevis in 2002. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Adams; sister, Joann Guthrie; and brother, Boyd Guthrie. Surviving are her siblings: Evelyn Jones, Elizabeth Johnson, Patricia Penland, Grant Guthrie, and Laymon Guthrie, and several nieces and nephews and was loved by all. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in the chapel of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services.
