John James Jackson, 77, of Asheville passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at his home. Born January 9, 1942 in Cumberland, MD, he was a son of the late Fred Jackson and Elizabeth Wilt Jackson. He was a graduate of Fort Hill H.S. and completed may additional technical programs in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 until 1964. After his time in the U.S. Armed Forces he was employed by many different U.S. computer companies. Some of his hobbies consisted of computers, publishing books, and gardening. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Fred Douglas Jackson, Jr., and Norman Douglas Jackson. Surviving is his spouse, Fredricca Jackson-Valie; brother, Ted Jackson of Grand Junction, CO; stepchildren: Kip Vaile, James Vaile, and Jean Vaile all of Virginia; nieces, Terri Green of Florida, and Linda Bogusky of Missouri; and nephews, Danny Jackson and Tommy Jackson both of Maryland. No services are planned at this time.
