Jerry Samuel Bishop, 84, of Asheville, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at Mission Hospital.
A native of Buncombe county, he was the son of the late Annie O. Bishop. He was also preceded in death by his wife Patricia Patterson Bishop. Jerry graduated from Western Carolina University, served in the Marine Corp. and worked as a corporate pilot.
He is survived by his loving children; Tracy Bishop of Asheville, and Matt Bishop (Paige) of Brevard. He wished for his cremated remains to be scattered in the French Broad River, as it passed through his 3 favorite places – Brevard, Asheville, and Knoxville.
