Our dear Jennifer has slipped life’s bond here on earth to touch the face of God. She leaves a huge emptiness in the hearts of so many left behind. Her love for her three children was deeper than the sea; daughters Savannah Hensley of Candler, Brianna Bledsoe of Candler, son Andy Stanley of the home, and stepson Nathaniel Stanley. Also leaving behind are her spouse Alan Stanley of Asheville, parents Scott & Karen Guy of Candler, brothers Greggory Guy & wife Courtney of Canton, Derek Guy & wife Kaycie of Candler, nephew Rylan Guy, grandparents Sonny & Ruby Guy, and Georgia Harwood, in-laws Tony & Karen Stanley. In addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends, and so many paths that Jennifer touched in her life.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Edgewood Baptist Church in Candler, NC.
A poem Jennifer would like:
Don’t weep for me, for it was time
To slip life’s bond, soar, and climb.
Do not grieve for what is past,
For bodies are not meant to last.
Expendable, their only role a growing medium for the soul.
Don’t store my things or cling to other things of sentimental value,
For you don’t need them anymore.
Browse through photos for a while,
But only if they make you smile.
Remember things we did and shared,
But do not sigh and wish them back,
Or dress yourself in hopeless black.
For clouds will part and larks will rise-the wheel must turn to make us wise.
And this twill be, I’m part of you and you are part of me and always will be.
Beloved do not weep for me,
Your happiness will set me free.
