Harold Clennon Cole

Harold Clennon Cole, 66, of Asheville, NC passed away in his home of 31 years Monday, November 6, 2017. Harold was born to Clennon Graham Cole and Genevieve Reed Cole in Asheville, NC, and is preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Cole, and Jimmy Cole. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Eileen Summerlin Cole; daughter, Jen Cole, and her husband Clark Bracken, of Wilmington, NC; son, Graham Cole, of Asheville, NC; sisters, Judy Cole Davis, of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Elaine Cole Collins, of Asheville, NC; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues.

Harold worked as a CPA for Gould Killian CPA Group since 1973, and held an AAS from Montreat Anderson as well as a BS in Accounting from Western Carolina University. He was a member of the Country Club of Asheville for 30 years, the Elk’s Club, American Institute of CPAs, NC Association of CPAs, Treasurer of WNC Episcopal Diocese, Treasurer of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, and a Little League coach. He enjoyed golf, guitar, beach vacations, working in the yard, and sports, especially baseball.

A service will be held Monday, November 13 at 1:00pm at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 337 Charlotte Street in Asheville, officiated by Rt. Rev. Jose McLoughlin (Bishop) & Rev. Dr. Brent Norris. Burial and reception will immediately follow the service.
