George Edward Penland, Jr., 66, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at his home in Asheville, NC.

George is preceded in death by his father, George Edward Penland Sr.; mother, Christine Dockery Judy; son, George Edward Penland III, and sister, Theresa Lewis.

Surviving George is his daughter, Elizabeth Diane Tisha Robinson of Landrum, SC; brother, James Penland and wife, Linda of Fairview, NC; sister, Betty Hawke and husband, Rudy of Brunswick, GA; brother-in-law, Buck Carl Lewis, of Swannanoa, NC; grandchildren: Thacher, Holly, Demi, Lucas; great grandchildren: Brayden and Damian.

George was loved by many.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
