Eugene "Gene" Masters

Eugene “Gene” Masters, 69, of Asheville, passed away July 29, 2017.
He was a native of Rosman, NC. Gene is preceded in death by his father, Tom Masters; mother, Annie Mae Murphy Masters; sisters, Opalee Chapman, Pauline Owen, Shelby Hobby; brothers, Bud Masters, Marshall Masters, and Guy Masters. He was the owner of Smokey’s Tavern. Gene was a loving father, son, and brother.
Surviving Eugene are his sons, Sammy Eugene Masters, of Pisgah Forest, NC and Christopher Michael Masters, of Asheville, NC; brother, Joe Masters of Hampton, VA; sisters, Clovey Galloway and Becky Richardson of Rosman, NC; grandchildren, Scott Masters of Pisgah Forest, NC, Abbylee Masters, Maggie Masters, and Aubrea Holland all of Brevard, NC.
A memorial service will be held August 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Brevard, NC.
