David William Parsons

David William Parsons, 81, of Asheville, NC died on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the John F. Keever Jr., Solace Center in Asheville, NC.   A native of London, England, he was born February 8, 1936 the son of the late Ernest Henry Parsons and Alicia Ashton-Lance Parsons.  He was an alumnus of both University College in London, England where he received his B.A. and Golden Gate School of Law in San Francisco, CA class of 1968. Proudly he served in the U.S. Army before attending Golden Gate School of Law.  As an attorney, he represented Lloyd’s of London for several years before and after co founding and becoming senior partner of Parsons and Anderson PA in Los Angeles, CA retiring in 2003.  Mr. Parsons was known for his witty personality, and his appreciation of music and poetry.  He found it therapeutic to work in his beloved flower garden, and greatly enjoyed traveling and experiencing different cultures.  
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Margo Dern and Jane Ashton – Lance.
Surviving are his devoted wife of 52 years, Josephine Lynam Parsons; daughter, Calandra Parsons of Asheville, NC, and sister, Alana Fox and her spouse, Terry, of Camford Cliff, England.
