Brad William Shaffer

To Brad, life was a journey not a destination.

A man of great talent, character and integrity, Brad Shaffer left this world on Thursday, November 9, 2017.  Bradford William Shaffer was born October 26, 1952 in Santa Paula, California to William E. and Lois V. Shaffer (deceased). After receiving his Master’s Degree from the Univ. of Southern California, his professional consulting career spanned both public and private sectors, and his ability to identify and attract top talent to organizations is evident in many local and global businesses today.

He is survived by his loving wife Suzanne, daughter Melanie and husband Joseph Charles Pinkston of Portland, Oregon; his father William of Asheville; brother David and his wife Michelle and family of Wellford, SC., and his worldwide family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to Rotary Club of Asheville, Rotary Foundation. A celebration of his amazing spirit will be announced later. There is no greater joy in life than to love and be loved, and Brad lived this every day.

A Celebration of the Life service will be held Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 from 1-3:30 pm at Calvary Episcopal Church (Reception Room adjacent to the chapel), 2840 Hendersonville Road, Fletcher, NC 28732. The church is across Hendersonville Rd. from Ingles Market, Fletcher.
