Barbara Nell (Rice) Robinson

Swannanoa – Barbara Robinson, 69, of Swannaona died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Buncombe County, where she had lived all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Pauline Ray Browning and Franklin Rice. Surviving are her daughter, Shirley Smith, of Knoxville; son, Jack Ballard, of Swannanoa; sons-in-law, Paul Smith and Tyson Gibson; brother, Burnice Rice; sisters: Darlene Honeycutt, Ruby Honeycutt, and Ruth Penland; and her beloved animals. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Warren Wilson Presbyterian Church and College Chapel, 101 Chapel Drive, Swannanoa with Rev. Steve Runholt officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Ray Family Cemetery, Barnardsville.
