Harold Dean Wright Jr., 58, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2024.
A native to Candler, NC, he was born August 10, 1965, to Harold Dean Wright, Sr. and Betty Wilson Wright.
Harold Dean Jr. loved his friends, family, cooking and fishing. He was known as an excellent cook and loved it as it was not only a passion, but he made it into a career, working in multiple different restaurants as a manager and head chef over the years. He enjoyed bringing happiness and full bellies to his customers and family. His biggest passion outside of cooking was fishing and he had a natural gift for it! His favorite times were on the lake in a boat, especially fishing trips with his father Harold Sr. He was known for being the only NC STATE WOLFPACK fan in the family of TARHEEL fans and we always loved that rivalry and watching all sports with him. He was a lifelong member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church, and he loved the Lord, and knew He was the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents- David and Reva Wilson, and Claude and Elton Wright. He is survived by his parents Harold Sr. and Betty Wright of Candler, Sister- Debbie Davis (Randy) of Flat Rock, his nephew Drew Davis of San Antonio, TX, niece, Courtney Worley (Jeff) of Flat Rock, 2 great nieces Carsyn and Charlotte, and one great nephew, Clayton, and many aunts, uncles and cousins he loved dearly.
Harold Dean Wright Jr. will be remembered having the best smile, best laugh, and a million stories of fishing and all the fun times he shared with family and friends. He was the life of the party and every one that knew him loved him. He will be greatly missed, but we know that he is fishing in Heaven and will watch over us until we join him.
