Goldie Frances (Mullinax) Goode

Goldie Frances Mullinax Goode, 91, of Mills River, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior, March 10, 2024. She was born on June 10,1932 in South Carolina to the late James Lloyd Mullinax and Ethel McConnell Mullinax. She is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Vaughn “Buddy” Goode, her sister Sylvia Mullinax Goings, her daughter-in-law, Martha McIntyre Goode, and son-in-law James Caroll Lyda. Frances was a member of Mills River Baptist Church where she has many friends who became family. She is survived by her son, Steve Goode; her daughter, Sherlene Goode Lyda; Her grandchildren, Angela Wilson (Gene), Julie Singleton (Jerry), Chris Lyda (Mandy) and Michael Lyda; Her great-grandchildren, Paige Tate (Michael), Christian Singleton, Megan Lyda (Sean), Patrick Wilson, Michael Hunter Lyda, Joshua Singleton, Raema Lyda, Malachi Lyda, and Gabriel Lyda; Her great-great grandsons Malin Lyda and Tate Pries. Frances lived a life of service to others and will be greatly missed. She left a legacy that will be carried on through generations. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 3:00pm at Mills River Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Glenn officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.
