Cheryl went to her forever home after a battle with Stage 4 breast cancer.
Cheryl grew up in Candler and was a graduate of Enka High School. She was loved by all who met her, especially her co-residents and staff at Bear Mountain
Facility where she had been a resident since 2018.
Cheryl was a long time manager of Long John Silvers on Brevard Road, and was a Charter Member of the Sandhill Lions Club.
Surviving are her husband of forty years, Chuck Hixon, three sons, Matt Hixon (Amber), Mark Hixon, Caylan Hixon(Maria), and Jodi Leigh Puett and Chasiton Coates. Cheryl Leaves behind eleven grandchildren whom she loved.
Cheryl had requested that there be no service, but there will be a time of gathering of friends and family in the near future to celebrate her life of
Love and Friendship. The family will notify everyone of the time and location
of this on Cheryl’s and Family member’s Facebook pages.
In lieu of flowers Cheryl would like donations to be made to American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research and Awareness.
