Theodore (Ted/Joker) William Hoyt, age 70, of Alexander, NC, passed away at his home on February 18, 2017. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Ted lived the first half of his life in Ohio, 20 years in Florida and then followed his wife to Georgia and ending their journey in Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.  Preceded in death by his parents, Guy Louis Hoyt Jr. and Betty Mae Todd Hoyt and younger brother Guy Louis (Louie) Hoyt III.  Survived by his loving wife and ‘Bestest’ Friend, Teresa (Teri) Liening-Hoyt; twin daughters Amanda (Mandy) Hoyt and her love (Doug Piconi) of Apopka, Florida and Jennifer (Jeni) Hoyt of Apopka, Florida; step-daughter, Shanna Ra (Lamm) Candleria and her love (Mike Candleria); and step-son Mark Alan Liening; sister and brother-in-law, Claudia Hoyt Jones (Richard) of Athens, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby Charlotte Hoyt Arnold (Bill) of Bexley, Ohio; sister-in-law and surviving wife of Louie Hoyt, Peggy Sue Hoyt; brother and sister-in-law, Timothy Francis Hoyt (Kathleen Layre) of Gainesville, Georgia; and brother, Jeffrey Alan Hoyt of St. Cloud, Florida; and Beloved Aunt Edna Louise Todd Corriveau Koehn (90) of Boca Raton, Florida; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  Ted, a sergeant of the US Army 9th Infantry Division, Mobile Riverine Force (in communication) and in 1969 was honorably discharged and a decorated Vietnam Veteran, will be cremated and laid to rest at the Black Mountain Veterans Cemetery with honors on March 24th.  It is requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Ted, to American Cancer Society for research and cure for Pancreatic Cancer.
