Sharon war born in Horry County, South Carolina. She grew to love her God, her Family, her Country. Her faith was personal and deep, a real source of comfort through the various joys and trials in this life. Her two children and 4 grandsons were her pride and joy, throughout her life, the love that she had for all of them never faltered nor failed. Her happiest moments were when she was surrounded by the love and laughter of all those she held most dear. She served in the Navy as a Registered Nurse. She continued that career for 40 years in various roles, from the bedside to leadership and unique settings from a mental health hospital, a prison, and even a high school.
She loved the beauty of nature, especially flowers, trees, and birds. The open road was her friend as she was always ready for exploring a dirt road or hitting the interstate for cross country travel. Sharon, whittled, painted, and wrote poetry.  She taught a few classes in each, sharing her love of words and art..

Sharon experienced a full and rich life. Yes, she had her share of disappointments, pain, and sorrow but she also knew hope, love, and laughter. All that knew her will remember her as loving, generous to a fault, and fascinated by this life and the richness of it.

A Memorial Service will be held at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Greer, South Carolina, on November 11, 2017, at 11:00am.  Her remains will be laid to rest at a later date at the Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Horry County, South Carolina.
