Robert “Bob” Paul Dazelle, 87, of Fletcher passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville, NC. Born February 22, 1931 in Westfield, MA, he was a son of the late Harold and Claire Dazelle. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and continued to serve his country afterwards in the Air National Guard for a combined 22 years. Mr. Dazelle retired after 30 years of service for the Northampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Leeds, MA. He was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Arden, NC. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his spouse, Priscilla Dazelle. Surviving are his children, Gary Dazelle of Hatfield, MA and Kim Fisichella and her spouse, Tony, of Fletcher, NC; siblings, Charles and Richard Dazelle; and grandchildren: Josette, Anthony, Nicole, and Michelle. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Mr. Dazelle’s honor to CarePartners Hospice, 68 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
