I worked with Rick earlier on at SCRA back when we all felt like family. Rick was a very nice and wonderful person - smiling all the time. He will always be remembered. The Lord be with you all.

Rick was the best father-in-law I could have ever hoped for. Smart, compassionate, a dedicated family man, and a shining light to all those around him. Knowing him I learned so much about being a father, a husband to his lovely daughter Ashley, and living a full and purposeful life. I will always remember our trips to SC & NC and his trips to VA and all of the moments in between. Whether it was shooting pool, eating crab legs, or sharing a beer at the beach, time with Rick was time well spent. It hurts so much that you're not here anymore Rick, but you will live on in my heart, and your grandchildren's hearts, forever.

Love and prayers to my niece , Sharon, and the family for the loss of.a valuable part of their lives. Always living a distance away from your family, we never were as close as I am sure would have been an asset. I certainly respected Rick's intelligence and devotion to family, in loving and providing for them. Thank you all so much for allowing me to pray for,, and with him, .just a couple days before his final journey on earth into his journey into Eternity with his Savior, Jesus Christ! He is absent from the body, but present with the Lord. Love you, and will join you and the others that 0have gone before.. Can't even imagine the thrill, beyond all thrills, to look upon His face!! Love and pray for those remaining that make the choice to join him some day. You will never be forgotten!!!!

Dear Sharon,
We will all miss Rick and his witty sense of humor and his walks to the dock. It was a joy and privilege to know your family while you were in Romain Retreat. Always loved the horses and the fun things you were doing.
Please know we have you in our thoughts as you make this hard adjustment.
Love to you and all the kids, Jan

I remember Ricky when I lived in St. Augustine so long ago. He was so intelligent, caring, and talented. My heart goes out to his family and friends. There's nothing worse than a broken heart. May God bless and comfort all of you.

Rick - I'm guilty of not always enjoying life but you were a good example and often told me the importance of not taking everything so seriously. I appreciate that you were a prince to your wife (my sister) and your children. It is a gross understatement to say that you will be missed. Love you brother - Mark

Please accept my condolences. I remember Rick from our days swimming for the Ponce de Leon swim team. I was a year older and not a very good swimmer; Rick was a talented swimmer and a good guy! I was glad to have reconnected on FB and enjoyed his posts about life in NC. His love of family was always apparent in his FB messages.
