Mary Alice Glanville

On Wednesday, January 31, at 3:18 pm Mary Alice Glanville joined her husband Thomas in heaven. She was pre-deceaced by her father Granville M Scott, mother Freda W Scott, sister Katherine and son Eugene. She was the loving mother of her daughter Roberta, sons Tom and Ken and grandmother to Lisa, Christian, Trevor and Robby. She passed away the way she lived after bowling six games in 2 different leagues on Tuesday.  Lost to the world is a person passionate to her family, a devoted friend and the shoulder friends & family could lean on when they were at their weakest.  
Mary was active in the Mars Hill community for 14 years.  She was the bright, cheerful light often seen at the AMF Lanes in Asheville bowling and sharing stories with everybody in the building. She was the proud grandmother at Lisa’s wedding. Cheering her grandsons on the athletic fields or at their graduations. She was the proud mother when Tom went into and retired from the USN. The beaming mother at the weddings of Roberta to her son in law John and Ken to her daughter-in-law Regina. 
Her light that touched so many lives will be missed.
