Leatha Faye Briggs

Leatha Faye Briggs “Flossy”, 61, of Marshall passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Born July 7, 1956 in Asheville, she was a daughter of the later Percy Edna Cabe. She attended school at A.C. Reynolds H.S., and attended Berea Baptist in Swannanoa. For many years she enjoyed camping at Lake Douglas with her husband and son, but also enjoyed spending time with her family in general. She also enjoyed nature especially flowers of any kind. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Laura Surratt. Surviving are her spouse of almost 44 years, Bobby Briggs; son, Robert Briggs of Weaverville; siblings: Linda Lanning and her spouse, Richard, of Horseshoe, Paul Cabe of Fairview, Jan Cabe of Swannanoa, Wayne Cabe and his girlfriend, Darlene Smith, of Fairview, Tim Cabe and his spouse, Kathy, of Black Mountain, and Cathy Davis and her boy friend, Dana Huskins, of Asheville; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
