Katherine M. (Boyer) (Israel) Hunnicutt

Kathy Hunnicutt of Asheville, North Carolina, entered eternal life on, Saturday, December 3, 2017. Kathy was born October 20, 1949 in Hendersonville, North Carolina. A Navy Spouse for 12 years, Kathy lived all over the United States until her husband's untimely death in May 1981 at which point she moved to Asheville, North Carolina. Kathy is survived by her daughter Monica Israel of Enka NC, son Michael Israel of Las Vegas NV, three granddaughters Katelin, Kristen, and Clarin, one great granddaughter Delilah, sister Linda Neace, brothers Chris, Dan, Dave, Jim, Sam, and Steve Boyer, and numerous extended family and friends. Kathy was a strong and independent woman who died peacefully with her family by her side in Hospice care of complications from Pick's Disease, a rare form a Dementia. She was loved by all and will be missed beyond measure by those she left behind. She has patiently waited for 36 years to be reunited with the love of her life Clarence Michael Israel. They are now together in wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, basking in the sun and reading to her heart's content. A place where music, laughter and love are guaranteed. A memorial service will be held on December 9th at Asheville Area Alternative Services, 702 Riverside Dr. Asheville, NC 28801. The family will be receiving guest starting at 2 pm with the Memorial Service beginning at 3pm.
