My American Family...Nola, Lori and everyone. Was totally devastated to hear of John's passing, and really know you are too. To be honest, am struggling to find the right words. I loved the way I was added to your family, someone John and you all had never met, (seen/chatted/tapped via internet....our phone calls) but knew sorta kinda. Loved the way I could sit and chat to John about anything really, and have such meaningful deep conversations. The ohhhh so many things we had in common....we all have in common. I shall soooooooo miss all this. There'll never be another John. I know I'm so far away across that pond, but if there is anything I can do to help in any way, whatsoever, I'm here for you 24/7.
Love you all dearly. XX

I had the privilege and pleasure of working with John at the jail. He ran the commissary and I worked in the kitchen. We would take breaks together in the sally port and talk. He had a calm about him that only the years had given. He was full of funny stories and often passed them along to me. I enjoyed our time together and often looked forward to our next discussion. If only the world had more John Teague,s how lucky we would be. He always talked to me as a friend and never talked down no matter what the subject. I cherish the time we spent together and look forward to more conversations in heaven. Nola, you were so lucky to have shared your life with this man. God blessed you and all of us that knew and shared time with him. May you look back and cherish every moment that you had with this wonderful human being. God bless. With all my love and appreciation, Clarence Ingle,III.

Dear Nola, Lori, Katie, and the rest of your extended family,
I am so, so, sorry Uncle Johnnie has passed. He was always the "cool, hip" uncle to me. I am forever grateful for the time he took with me when I was a young girl; he made feel more grown up and less like a little brat (smile). I will be in his debt forever for introducing me to the writings of Thomas Wolfe. He will be missed. My thoughts are of You and yours as you adjust to a different kind of life now. Love always

I have known John for a very long time, from the time I worked patrol with APD in the 70's and 80's and then with the Sheriff's Office here in Buncombe County. Both John and Nola spent a lifetime working to serve their fellow man. John as a Magistrate with the N.C. Court system and a fine Magistrate he was. He was an officer's Magistrate. Nola who dedicated herself to the communications divisions of both Asheville Police Dept (APD) then the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office until she retired. Nola, John will be sorely missed by all of us that knew and loved him. God bless you both during this time of suffering but know that John will be waiting to welcome you home when that time comes.
