Jack Duane Lusk

 Jack Duane Lusk, age 76, passed away at The Laurels of Summit Ridge, Asheville, NC on Friday, January 18, 2013 after a period of declining health.

He was the son of the late William Jackson Lusk of Marion and Beva Clontz Lusk of Asheville. His wife of 33 years, Beulah Austin Lusk passed away in 1994 and his only son, William Duane Lusk passed away October, 2011. His brother, Carl Lee Lusk passed away in 2011.

Those left to cherish his memory are a sister, Sue Rhodes (Russell) of Woodfin and Murphy and grandchildren, Jonathan Lusk and Brandy Lusk Lee (Ferman) of Rutherfordton and one aunt, Sue Reynolds (Harold) of Nebo, and several nieces and nephews.

Jack served in the US Army stationed in Germany from 1958 – 1960.

He was owner and operator of motels and apartment rentals in Marion and Rutherfordton with his son until his retirement.

The family wishes to thank The Laurels of Summit Ridge for the wonderful care provided to our loved one. Jack loved the staff and we are thankful to each of them for their caring, loving kindness and professionalism.

A memorial service will be at a later date.
