Donald Wesley Holden

Donald “Don” Wesley Holden, 59, of Arden passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the John F. Keever Jr., Solace Center in Asheville. Born October 4, 1958 in Brevard and was the son of Charles Kenneth Holden and Margaret Nail Holden of Arden. He was employed by EATON in Arden for 14 years before becoming an artist. As an artist he was certified by the City and Guilds of North America, had a couple of pieces of art published in Houston, TX, and had a house which he worked on featured on HGTV. He was a very talented, bright, and adventurous soul who was always thinking of other especially his family and friends. He is preceded in death by a sister, Felicia Holden. Surviving are his children, Alexander Holden of Asheville and Lisa Holden and her partner, Troy Allen, of Candler; sister, Regina Krofchick and her spouse, Dan, of Columbia, SC; grandchildren: Colby, Gabe, Bekah, and Anabelle Rose; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Skyland First Baptist Church in Arden. Condolences may be made to the family at www.ashevilleareaalternative.com.
