Cory James White

Cory James White, 48, passed away unexpectedly January 4, 2018 at his home in Asheville. He was born September 26, 1969 in Minot, ND. His passions were family, fishing and all things Nascar. His gifts were a Serenity to accept the things he could not change, Courage to change the things he could and Wisdom to know the difference. Always at the ready was his sense of humor to evoke smiles and laughter and a brighter day. He was a magnet to all animals. They simply adored him. Cory worked the third shift at Silver Line Plastics for nearly one year. In that short time he broke many records with which even the younger workers could not compete. Prior to Silver Line he was resident manager at First Step Farm in Candler.NC where he helped other men with a new beginning. Cory also took great pride in the work he did on the side as a stone mason and with Green Acres Lawn Care. Awaiting Cory in his Forever Home is his uncle Thomas McGregor, his paternal grandparents Barnie Christopher White Sr. and Theda Jewel Wills and his maternal grandparents Thomas and Gertrude McGregor. He is survived by his mother Carole White of Hendersonville, his father and stepmother Barnie and Bonnie White of Beaver, W.VA., his twin sister Kristi White and his niece Morgan Doyle of Asheville, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and four-legged furry friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the chapel of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services. Please dress casual as this is what Cory would have wanted.
