Billy Eugene Ooton

Billy Eugene Ooton, 77, of Franklin passed away Friday, September 2, 2011. A native of Larned, KS, he was the son of the late Willard and Ruth Ooton. He proudly served in the US army during the Korean War, and was a member of the Franklin Rotary Club and the First United Methodist Church in Franklin. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Margaret Ann Foster Ooton; son, Kris Alan Ooton and wife Mary Ann of Gainesville, FL, and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date in October at the First United Methodist Church in Franklin. In memory of Mr. Ooton, memorials may be made to the Compassion Fund, First United Methodist Church, 66 Harrison Avenue, Franklin, NC 28734.
